Can changing your life be as simple as waking up from a bad dream?
When you are awakened from a disturbing dream, it is the seeming reality of the drama unfolding in the dream that distresses you.  The emotional impact of the dream stimulates the “fight or flight” response to the perceived experience, causing you to wake up.  But why would you react in such a way?  After all, it is a dream, isn’t it?  What you’re witnessing in the dream can’t really hurt you, can it? Yet, still, the experience feels real.  Well, try this on for size: What if the nature of your experience in the so-called “waking state” is a dream as well?! Of course, your immediate response to this concept may be, “but my life experiences are real.” However, could it be this same sense of “realness” that awakens you from a disturbing dream?  So again, the experience of your so-called “waking state” could be considered a dream as well.

If you’re willing to challenge the logic of how you habitually perceive the idea being posed here, you will be able to radically change your “waking dream” experience . . .overnight (couldn’t resist!).  Just as you awaken from what disturbs you in the conventionally agreed upon dream state, you can awaken from the disturbing elements of your “waking dream” as well.  Consider that you may be “dreaming” that you lack in various areas of your life. Are you “dreaming” that harmony is thwarted in your personal relationships . . . that effecting change in your life is an elusive pursuit . . . that your experience with money has always been a difficult road . . . that you have low self-esteem or lack confidence?  Indeed, you may have “actually” experienced or suffered from all of the aforementioned ”waking dreams.”  However, the good news is that you can awaken from these ”waking dreams” just as effectively as you awaken from conventional dream states in order to end an undesirable experience.

You must first decide that your suffering is, in reality, only a disturbing dream  and that you are going to alter your “waking dream” by changing your perspective and realizing that your particular living experience (or the way you’re responding to it) is all a dream!  Declare that you are waking yourself up from the dream of lack! Declare that you are . . . waking up from the dream of loneliness . . . the dream of chronic health challenges   . . . the dream of failure!  Remember, your challenging experiences are only as “real” as the dreams you awaken from in slumber.  Seeing challenges, however visceral, long-standing or seemingly difficult, as elements of a bad dream - that very contextualization - renders those limiting dynamics as meaningless as the dream you had 470 days ago.  Now, can you recall the dream you had exactly 470 days ago?  In all likelihood the answer is “no“ because you do not regard your dreams as “real.”  Therefore, you must  cease to regard the limitations and constrictions of your experience as definitive circumstances and begin seeing them as part of the “waking “dream” of lack and limitation.

From this new vantage point, you will begin to render lack and limitation as innocuous elements of your experience and thus, profoundly alterable! You will then empower yourself to be your own salvation.  Create - through your new attitude and perception - the dream of abundance flowing to you in more ways than you can imagine! Create the dream of consistently focusing on your objectives and goals!  Create the dream of being the kind of person that attracts harmonious relationships everywhere you go!  Create the dream of fulfilling one success after another!  Create the dream of no longer perceiving  yourself as a victim!  Create the dream of knowing you deserve a life of fulfillment, joy and happiness!  Create the dream of believing that happiness is a fundamental part of your life!  Create the dream of who you truly are!

As you alter your “waking dream,” remember that it is still only a dream, however, with this new perspective in mind , it will be the dream that reflects the nature of true Reality. Life is fundamentally a thing of wholeness, perfection and love.  Insist that your waking dream reflects this reality!  Insist that your waking dream reflects Life’s infinite capacity for good.  Become the dream that Life intended you to be when It dreamed you into existence!

Growth is not steady, forward, upward progression. It is instead a switchback trail; three steps forward, two back, one around the bushes, and a few simply standing, before another forward leap.
